Please tell us your views on the Bill and explain why it will affect you.: I think this bill is a fantastic idea and one that is moving with the times. Families are made up very differently to how they once were, and this bill allows us to protect those we love without feeling pressured to have a marriage ceremony. For us personally we see marriage as vows before god as a pagan i believe in many gods and even a civil marriage at a registry office requires vows. Mixed civil partnerships enable us to have our relationship regonised by the law by the simple signing of a form in front of a registrar and 2 witnesses this matches our relationship as equal partners, neither of us above the other. I think all couples should have the choice to do whats right for their relationship as we move to a modern more equal society.
