Please tell us your views on the Bill and explain why it will affect you.: My hope is that the Scottish Government demonstrates a commitment to equality and enables mixed sex couples to enter into civil partnerships. Family life is continually modernising and we need our laws to reflect this in order to protect families in law and wider society. My partner and I have made a home together and created and developed our work together for almost 24 years. We have decided we will be entering into a civil partnership. If the civil partnership option for mixed sex couples becomes available in Scotland, I'd like to hope we would be one of the first to take this opportunity and be part of making history in modernising the framework in Scotland. It's the right thing to do, so let's just do the right thing.
