Please tell us your views on the Bill and explain why it will affect you.: My partner and I have been cohabiting for 18 years. We have two children together and to many in the outside world we are married. But we have no legal status that respects our situation. We would be interested in a civil partnership as it helps with pension and tax planning and acknowledges our status as a couple without the traditional religious status of marriage.
