Please tell us your views on the Bill and explain why it will affect you.: I think it is a good idea, as it allows couples to enter into an officially recognised relationship without all the historical "baggage" that the concept of "marriage" comes with. There is still pressure to do marriage "a certain way", but civil partnership enables people to define their relationship their own way, without the sexist historical (and current) baggage, as well as religious connotations.
