Young people's health and wellbeing

Poverty has a major impact on the wellbeing of young people. The removal of the £20 per week uplift to Universal Credit has impacted on many families, and poor housing and rising fuel costs added to this mean that young people who are hungry and/or cold cannot concentrate at school, tend not to participate in their communities. The impact on their health, wellbeing and achievement is significant.
