Social Media and poor mental health

Look at the impact of influencers on mental health, see how people perceive people on SM and its impact on mental health. Produce guidance on how young people can block out social media or deal with it? Bullying on SM is also a problem, private things are being shared without consent and this worsened by the pandemic. Young people need real life connection as well as online communication. Young people can spend 10+ hours a day looking at their phone but it is hard to stay away because of the need for connection. Especially during a pandemic. Watching others break the rules during the pandemic while young people stayed at home was also difficult. This idea was raised at a session with members of the Scottish Youth Parliament on 13th December 2021.
