My name is Callum Neil and I live in Prestonfield in Edinburgh. I find it difficult to engage in the Scottish Parliament because I feel it's quite separate from us in the community. It seems like a different entity and we're not really involved with. And decisions are made away from us generally. I think outreach programmes would probably help me work better with the parliament and knowledge that we could approach them generally as citizens would be very helpful as well.
Good point about outreach programmes. What he says feels very familiar. Separation is an important word. Role of MSP is important. Not enough MSP surgeries.
Go to where people already are, e.g supermarkets. Look at what spaces in a community people are using. Talk to people about their issues rather than politics.
