Who is more important in an MSPs eyes, is it your constituents who voted you in, or the agenda of larger authorities and individuals like the UN or Bill Gates? 2-3 broad approaches probably exist across all MSPs – we all come from different political parties with differences in opinions. Scottish Parliament functions in wider system that has limitations - I try to use powers we have to challenge and push boundaries of that system, as it doesn’t represent best interests of people of NE and wider Scotland. Elected as Green, so my interests are different to other parties. I try to bring everything back to what my community tells me. Bigger systems are problematic and constraining.
