Difference between Government and Parliament

Difference between Government and Parliament

Can you explain the difference between the Government and the Parliament? The Government brings forward the manifesto. The Parliament is there to scrutinise it. And represent the people. Cross-Party Groups are important because people can directly engage with them. The Parliament is a place where people can come in, participate, be engaged with. The Parliament is representative. It’s here to pressure the Government to change their policy ideas or bring about new ones.
