Recruitment and retention of staff

Recruitment and retention of staff

In rural areas, there is a problem with finding and keeping enough staff to work in healthcare. The Scottish Government has made a plan in March 2022 called the Health and Social Care National Workforce Strategy. One of the goals of this plan is to create a strategy by the end of 2024 that helps rural communities find and keep healthcare workers. Should the Committee look at ways to increase recruitment and retention of staff as part of its inquiry into remote and rural healthcare in Scotland?
