Produce guidance for individuals and organisations on submitting evidence to calls for views, to ensure that the evidence received by committees is as relevant and useful as possible. It would also help to increase the diversity of voices being heard from. This is current practice in the Senedd, Northern Ireland Assembly and UK Parliament. This could be supported with further internal guidance on how to frame calls for views to ensure they are accessible and appropriate for the target audience.
Absolutely agree with this - if we can support best practice on how evidence is submitted it does increase diversity, increases the richness of material received, and makes it easier for analysis and synthesis (often required at very short notice compared to other organisations). This could be a quick win - learning from our counterparts elsewhere.
