decentralise sbd democratise local government

How does this impact on Community Wellbeing? An effective, local, democratic, community controlled tier of local government can make informed decision and take local community action to impact community well being Why should the Committee focus on this as part of their future work? Because so far it’s all trickle down nonsense and Scottish Government needs to democratise and facilatate a community controlled local government for communities - SIPs and Community Planning failed as central and local government officials and elected reps pay lip service to communities and/or lean towards political party bias

The decision for deferral should be made on the basis of 'getting it right for every child' ensuring that every child is given the greateat opportunity to thrive. By funding all deferred children those financial barriers will be removed, allowing all children, especially those from poorer background the opportunity to thrive and succeed.

As a community councillor, I feel helpless and excluded. My community is a rural one, and we lack people. A proper role in our democracy, together with a modicum of resource, would give more power to our elbow, a stronger voice to advocate for our community and a role in addressing the manifold challenges of the climate emergency. If this isn't done at a local level it won't be done at all. Our district council is just too preoccupied to notice....
