Get Out

Get Out

How does this impact on Community Wellbeing? We have become so isolated within communities, we’re becoming shut off from human interaction as well as the positive wellbeing benefits of being outside. We need to get out of our homes, enjoy the outdoors AND make contact with others within our communities. Get involved with initiatives such as litter picks, community gardens, green gyms, etc. be involved. It vastly improves our own wellbeing, and can have a positive impact on the wellbeing of the wider community, including environmental, wildlife and nature positives. Why should the Committee focus on this as part of their future work? The committee should focus on this as there are great physical and mental health benefits to getting outside more. Also community interaction can relieve loneliness, encourage conversations and positive relationships, bringing back a sense of community that could be disappearing. Focussing on our local environment we can also have a positive effect in our corner of the global community, whether litter picking or caring for a piece of ground to help nature
