How does this impact on Community Wellbeing? Placing people with depression and anxiety in a one bedroom flat with a family of four below, means constant noise, and exacerbated symptoms. Also contributed to failing my course due to a lack of sleep. Housing agencies show a complete lack of regard because it’s kids. Council now wants to increase rent for the third time in less than two years - aye right. Gave me a flat full of mould, no space for a full size fridge freezer, means shipping nearly every other day - and can’t meal prep.- but if a hassle when you struggle to get out the door with crippling anxiety. Why should the Committee focus on this as part of their future work? Because it’s rife. I know another student in my class with five below him. And there’ll be plenty more. Mental health isn’t an exclusive health issue - housing needs show be better thought out; its common sense not to place someone with complex needs, in an even worse situation than they were in before
