How does this impact on Community Wellbeing? People who struggle to provide food for their families could be paired up with a family who can afford to provide a basic food pack every week instead of the receiving family having to attend a foodbank whenever things get too tough. I know some families just struggle to eat well at all ever and there is more likelihood of them receiving the food choices they need and want if provided by a selected buddy donor. Also, fresh food could then be provided by the food buddy as required. Why should the Committee focus on this as part of their future work? It would be easy to set up a register of donors and recipients as a one off exercise and just let it run.
This is worthwhile but working towards no Foodbank use more important This is a political issue
