Drop in centres on high streets for alcohol/ drug/ gambling

How does this impact on Community Wellbeing? Too many mental health and social problems have adverse effects on families and in particular, children. Make support/ advice readily available and less of a taboo bu having instant access for those requiring support. Have greater support for young people who suffer from these within their families. Why should the Committee focus on this as part of their future work? Most of problems impacting negatively on young people are due to their family lives. We should target these problems as many vulnerable people cannot access the support they require. GPs are not always the right people to offer advice and can be overwhelmed. Putting accessible support on the high street would ensure individuals have access when they require it and stop as many people reaching crisis point
