Communication Inclusion Law

Communication Inclusion Law

How does this impact on Community Wellbeing? Ensure no one is denied access to or meaningful responses from publicly funded services or products including health, education, justice, social care and cultural, political or leisure opportunities. Effective two way communication between individuals and their community is fundamental to all health and wellbeing outcomes. Why should the Committee focus on this as part of their future work? Because effective human to human communication underpins social cohesion and inclusion and engagement in in wellbeing opportunities including public health, education, employment, civic participation. The inability to understand opportunities and express needs and preferences too often leads to poor engagement and uptake; social isolation and exclusion; loss of self worth and sense of agency. 60% of young people who offend live at a communication disadvantage as do 80% young people not in work
