How does this impact on Community Wellbeing? Reduce the speed limit in residential areas to 20MPH. Yes some will still speed at 30MPH, but currently people are much fast than 30MPH! Enforce to reductions with speed cams, police. Change connection roads that are 40MPH to 30MPH… people will adjust Why should the Committee focus on this as part of their future work? If this change says just one child’s life, than it is worth it
The save a life argument can be used to justify anything, how many children will die due to increased air pollution caused by lower speed limits?
