For the building industry and technologists to get together and use there intelligence to develop ideas to prevent heat pouring out of the walls of old sandstone,granite houses which are common in Scotland.
Heat pumps and sustainable electricity generation are pointless if we use the energy generated to heat uninsulated buildings. All you get are higher electricity bills. Start with keeping the heat in. It is the most cost efficient improvement with the least environmental consequence.
I like the idea but there are techniques already - new ones for old buildings would be good.
