Public Transport

Public Transport

What change do you want to make now to address the climate change crisis? Ban all cars. Nationalise rail and bus to provide transport infrastructure free at the point of travel. What do you need to make this change? Legislation. This can be done with existing technology and expansion of existing infrastructure.

Points

Vastly reduce pollution, reduce travel times, reduce expense of travel leaving more disposable income for the end users.

How will people be compensated for their illegal vehicles? How will you dispose of all the useless cars? What happens to farm and contruction vehicles?

'Ban all cars'. And in that single ignorant sentence, all the proof you need to ignore this suggestion.

It is not logistically possible to do this - especially with the vast areas of under-populated land we have in Scotland. Frequency and routes would be insurmountable
