What change do you want to make now to address the climate change crisis? I want to get rid of my wee car What do you need to make this change? I need a safe road to cycle on. Infinitely better connections on public transport routes. Currently a twenty.minute car journey to my nearest town takes between 1hr 15 mins and 1hr 45,mins on an infrequent service. I cannot use my bike even to go to the village, my nearest bus stop is 2 miles from my house, because of the narrow roads which carry heavy traffic, both in terms of quantity and size of vehicles .

I mean, Lucy did say she wants to get rid of her car, not all cars..no forcing of others! I agree with you Lucy. But, my work journey is 15 mins in the car - start at 9am. Because of the bus networks about me, I’d have to leave at half 7 to get to work on time. Utter nonsense. Public transport is insufficient and largely ineffective. Massive investment in public transport is needed so those of us who want to, can get rid of our cars. Also, to point out, I have no Lucy’s in my family. #johnstone
