What change do you want to make now to address the climate change crisis? Remove stinky Diesel engines from Edinburgh busses and install electric motors and batteries. They can use tram overhead wires to charge while running to reduce the size of the required batteries. Batteries will allow the busses to go many places not covered by overhead wires What do you need to make this change? The government should open a factory to convert busses and do training. They can do cars as well
It reduced emissions, will save lots of money and allows the use of what will be stranded assets once the diesel busses are banned
Absolutely agree with this. My local bus service seems to use more double deckers which spills out the diesel fumes. Electric smaller buses needed.
