What change do you want to make now to address the climate change crisis? Getting glass milk bottles delivered rather than buying plastic ones from the supermarket. What do you need to make this change? There is poor availability and it’s expensive.
Is there argument here for cartons from recycled materials? Perhaps one of the solutions should be investing in recycled materials for throw away packaging? Or a way to do away with throw away packaging?
Difficult one because glass bottles use a lot of energy to manufacture and sanitise. Plastic bottles are easy to recycle but can result in more microplastic in water ways. Ideally we would stop drinking as much milk of course!
This will reduce plastic waste.
