I’m unconvinced of the private electric car for urban areas where we need to focus on public transport and active travel. Electric cars might be more useful in rural areas - where it’s still true that most trips are sub 20 miles so micro ecars might be the way forward with shared larger vehicles or public transport being the next hop.
