A Scientific Approach to the Climate Change Crisis Plan

A Scientific Approach to the Climate Change Crisis Plan

What change do you want to make now to address the climate change crisis? The Scottish Government produce a list of scientifically proven options that address the Climate Change Crisis and make Scotland a more attractive place to live, work and play. They will have details of probable impact and likely costs. This will form the basis of a consultation with individuals, groups and organisations who can prioritise ideas that are most suitable individually and for their area. What do you need to make this change? A professional approach to the consultation

Points

Science should inform policy, first and foremost. This scientific backing will give the ScotGov the evidence and strength to make what may sometime be politically tough decisions.

Only ideas that have a scientific basis would be put forward and their likely impact/cost would be know.

Research should inform policy,

Robust and evidence based research must underpin a reliable and rapid plan to mitigate the climate heating emergency.

it could lead to findings such as building (as opposed to talking about it) better walking infrastructure leads to more people walking and better cycling infrastructure to more people cycling.
