Incentives for locals to buy local produce

Incentives for locals to buy local produce

What change do you want to make now to address the climate change crisis? make regionally produced produce cheaper in that area by incentives to farmers etc, that are then passed on to local customers. Have clear labeling by area Fie, Ayrshire, Perth etc What do you need to make this change? Susidised local produce, that is healthy and low carbon foot print

Points

good idea, using the tax system to encourage buying local would also help

It is unfair for people who live in cities as they would spend much more on food than people who live in the countryside.

subsidising local produce would lower carbon foot print make it easier for families on tight budget to eat healthily and provides more food security locally in times of crisis
