Many students were unable to find part time or full time positions during the summer which left many unable to have a source of income due to the inability to apply for any benefits. This has caused the amount of debt, whether to family or official creditors, to rise among the student population. The #SummerSAAS movement proved to be popular among the student population but ultimately did not come to pass. As such, students feel that they have now been entered into a potential spiral of debt.
