Empty office buildings - look at how we use these spaces.

The Scottish Government should look into how to use empty office buildings post-pandemic. As the world of work may change to increase the number of people working from home there could be an opportunity to use spaces in other ways that could benefit society. For example - supporting the eradication of homelessness.

Points

Not an ideal layout and could be unhealthy for families

Yes but not cheap bad housing with people living in shoe boxes.

If we look at this strategy in combination of non-granting of planning permission for out-of-town shopping centres we could have a joined-up approach that looks to: cut car use / carbon emissions; reinvigorate town/city centres; encourage small traders & diversity of shop thereby encouraging trades and tourism; maintain green belts; address homelessness;
