The Scottish Government should use this time to continue working on the green recovery plan.
Some members of the panel felt that the Government won't be able to go forward with the green recovery plan until there is an exit strategy regarding COVID-19
Is this the right time given that we are nowhere near being in control of the virus as yet. Hopefully the vaccine will help us move towards normality and focussing on the green recovery plan but don't feel this is yet.
This should be taken as an opportunity to encourage a green economic recovery with a focus on promoting cleaner, greener lifestyles, and an economy that prizes sustainability over short-term benefits that would harm the planet. (quote from UK citizens assembly on green recovery but I feel very apt for our discussion here). I think the time is ripe and people are ready for something better.
