The Scottish Government should continue to encourage remote learning in order to keep spread of virus under control.
The Cabinet Secretary for Education previously said that schools were not a vector for transmission so is the statement above correct? Remote learning may be appropriate but only where the home environment is conducive to learning and where there is parental support. Vulnerable pupils and those needing additional support are most at risk in terms of education and social development. Can we consider an early phased re-opening starting with Primary Schools and early vaccination of +50 teachers?
