People are not self isolating because they cannot afford to stay at home. The Scottish Government should do more to support people to comply.
Whilst in theory I would agree with this, I am not sure how this would be implemented and not open to abuse. Even if we give money to people how do we ensure they stay home anyway - will this be policed. I am concered that this will be open to abuse and be unworkable. I am happy to hear how this would work in practice and hence vote for it.
I think people who need to isolate should be paid as normal by their employer, and the employer recoups the money from government funds. There should be no nominal grant given - people's living expenses don't drop because they have to isolate.
