The importance of education as a route out of poverty

The importance of education as a route out of poverty

There should be more emphasis in schools on basic home economic issues and budgeting but also need to look at the conditions that people find themselves in and how to find support. The statistics are quite alarming. This has been going on for a long time, with no resolution. It is believed that this is tied to education. Correlation in education standards in Scotland.

Points

Education should not just focus on academic attainment. University students can be just as equally ill informed about budgeting and cooking. Life's skills (not life skills as in additional support) is for everyone.
