Is there a moral imperative on us to consider vaccinating the rest of the world? Dominic Smith - There are consistent messages about the international perspective. There should be a robust moral philosophy to support that approach. Stephen Reicher - There would be an assumption people will focus on the ‘in group’. More for us than for others. A pragmatic view is that no one is safe until everyone is safe. We can domestically reduce the virus but not in the long term. For example by doing something like what Australia are doing, closing borders, their economy is booming. If we are going to get through this we need an internationalist view, morally and pragmatically.
