Equal Rights for children and non resident parents

Equal Rights for children and non resident parents

At the moment the family law system is designed that the resident parent can dictate/ control etc what a child can do. This results in lengthy court battles which takes years. In this time a child’s right to see both parents and their extended family is taken away. The results is the child is denied contact with the non resident parent and their family. During this time a child is brought up in an environment and they learn that it is ok that another adult controls another adult and themselves on who they are allowed to have contact with and for how long. This is not in the benefit of that child as they are being taught that it is ok to treat people with disrespect, that a family is only on the resident side, they learn how to manipulate / control people for what they want. A child will also not gain valuable skills that both parents give a child.
