This should be at the top of every Department's agenda. Mankind is trashing the planet. So many species have been lost from the bottom to the top of most natural food webs. For example deer and sheep grazing along with muirburning has destroyed most of Scotland's upland habitat. Fishing down the Food Web has destroyed much of the world marine habitat. Fish farms have all but destroyed wild salmon populations along our West Coast. Almost nothing has been left in ecological balance because of human interference and exploitation. We continue along this route at our peril. Nature is there to be cherished and supported not exploited. Time for Scotland to say No and to set an example to the world.
