Sexual violence against girls in schools

Sexual violence against girls in schools

There needs to be an immediate fully independent investigation/enquiry into what is taking place within primary, secondary and FE. Girls are self reporting that they’re being sexually assaulted and harassed in school. This isn’t good enough. A recent report confirmed that 110 high schools and colleges as well as 17 primary schools in Scotland were identified, with harrowing testimonies from current and former students. Parents should be made aware immediately about what is going to be done and how. With relevant impact assessments made available on any decisions being made. We can’t tiptoe around this issue any longer.
