We need to prevent export of plastics as they are so often just degrading somewhere else, lying to consumers that they are being recycled. Plastic waste must be managed in-country - if we cannot do this then we are manufacturing too much plastic. Either make less or upgrade recycling / reuse facilities. Stop passing responsibility onto other nations.
