Currently arts education is severely lacking in primary and secondary schools, and this is a big detriment to all schoolchildren. Education in creative and performing arts builds key life skills such as communication, teamwork and creativity while boosting a child's confidence and giving them a healthy emotional outlet. We need to stop seeing arts as a "soft option" and start giving our children the tools they need.
