Public benches/seating

Public benches/seating

There is a need in communities for more public seating, particularly on hills. Public benches/seating have been dissapearing over the last few decades, due mainly to local council's hostility towards homeless people. Not everyone has the luxury of flying up hills in a car. Some people cannot afford even bus fares and have to walk up sometimes very steep/long hills without any respite. I live in a town with many steep hills and my heart goes out to older people, wheelchair users and people pushing prams who cannot sit for a few minutes to catch their breath. It's time councils thought about their citizens.
