There is no reason that any official ID requires sex or gender markers. No one's sex or gender can be determined just by looking at them and it is invasive to require that information be available on documents largely used for purposes of security when knowing the sex or gender of a person does nothing to increase security. In addition, the legal and personal trouble caused to trans, non binary and gender non conforming people by having this information recorded in a way that affects their legal situation is immeasurable.
