Student funding through SAAS runs through the course of university, but completely dissapears through the summer months. More and more, students are needing to take unpaid internships through summer in order to get the experience to secure a job after graduation. This leaves many students in a difficult financial situation. Students deserve to be paid through the summer, to ensure they can focus on personal projects that further their education, along with allowing those who need to resit certain aspects of thier course through the summer to focus on their exams and assesments, as opposed to sacrificing their education in order to survive.
