Older People's Sports Clubs

Establishing ‘Older People’s Sports Clubs’ would help older people recover from the damaging effects of lockdowns and shielding by improving their fitness, mental wellbeing and reconnecting them to the sports they loved. Everyone should have the opportunity to be involved in sport and exercise throughout their life, and these clubs could help boost access to and widen participation in sport and exercise. Most team sports could be converted into a walking option, giving people with mixed fitness levels the chance to take part and make connections while boosting their health.
