More support needs to be put in place for people who are dying at home ie funding for support services such as No-one Dies Alone Ayrshire who can provide volunteers to sit with people and give families a break. Also, greater priority needs to be given to increasing care asap to help people have a peaceful death at home. Greater priority should be given to setting up hospital beds in homes and providing extra carers. It is also crucial that carers be elevated in status in our society given the crucial and wonderful job they do.
