Our food and goods use too much packaging (especially plastic). This then must be recycled (funded by the taxpayer). Why should the tax payer have to pay for a private company's packaging waste? Reducing packaging and putting the onus on the company to pay for the end landfill or recycling costs would drastically cut back on the amount of waste and recycling generated.
