Occupational therapy for children and young people

Occupational therapy for children and young people

Occupational therapy services should be redesigned so children and young people can have direct access to occupational therapy skills and expertise when they need it. Similarly, occupational therapists should be deployed in schools, early years and community settings to ensure children receive earlier focused interventions. By providing solutions-focused support earlier, this will reduce the need for specialist services and referrals to Child and Adolescent Mental Health Support (CAMHS).
