There are lots of people who have disabilities who are on long waiting lists for suitable housing. This can result in people being re-housed in care homes, and never able to access housing in the community which meets their needs. We do not want to go backwards to a time where disabled people are institutionalised. We want a commitment from the government to build more accessible social housing in good community locations, with transport and facilities where people can easily access their support networks.
