Ensure fair work opportunities for visually impaired people

Working age people with visual impairment are more than twice as likely not to be in paid employment as people who are fully sighted. The Economy and Fair Work Committee to assess how accessible current employability programmes are for young people, including through Fair Start Scotland the Youth Guarantee, to those with a visual impairment and the potential benefits of establishing specialist visual impairment apprenticeship programmes.
