Easy Accessibility to Mental Health Services

Easy Accessibility to Mental Health Services

Readily available mental health services for everyone. We need to be more creative in using resources that are available but not as yet formally adopted by the NHS. For example - using recently graduated psychology students to play a "first pass" role in at least allowing those seeking help to communicate directly with a person who could be trained to help in the first instance. I would recommend those recruited to help must have an empathetic leaning as well as a professional attitude. The mechanisms available to the "first pass" role must be clearly identified and workable - but if no referral is possible in the immediate future then at least the "patient" will have had time with someone who has hopefully allowed them to clarify their thinking.
