Affordable Public Transport

Affordable Public Transport

Parts of Scotland (Greater Glasgow where I live) do not have affordable public transport. It's great we can offer free bus tickets to under 22's but we need to also be thinking about those on low incomes and in-work poverty. Transport should be seen as an essential service in the same way as healthcare, benefits, education etc - it's how we are able to get to where we need to be which has consequences for our health, work and education. Those who can't afford public transport are excluded from so much. We need to be thinking about bringing it into public ownership.
