Child welfare hearing reform

Child welfare hearing reform

Parental rights and responsibilities should be removed after a set period of parental abandonment. It is unfari children are held by rules and permissions of an absent parent who does not know them. The onus should be on the pursuer in a child welfare hearing to provide beyond doubt it is in the childs best intrest. Grandparents and those without PRR should never be allowed to access the courts to petition for contact with children. If a court deems contact not suitable steps should be taken to prevent contact and ensure the safety and wellbeing of the child
